I was in Pittsburg this past weekend for the NPC MASTERS NATIONALS! To compete in this for women you have to be over 35 and for men over 40. Now to most you might think, eh no big deal its old people...OH CONTRARE...MUSCLE MATURITY...I have to say I was very impressed with the 439 competitors at this show. But no one impressed me more than HEAVYWEIGHT JOHN WHITE from ATLANTA GA!!!!

What can I say...John has been training me since Nationals...KILLING ME EVERYDAY IN THE GYM....and watching him diet and train and put 100% into this show was INSPIRING. I mean he literally KILLED himself daily on the stepmill....trained harder than anyone I ever met and then every night I watched him pose...over and over and over again. I never saw someone practice posing as much as John.

Thursday night, Me, Cindy , Brad and John headed to the airport...Had an easy trip to Pittsburg...and then the fun began. I started his coloring process which was awesome because he tanned so much ahead of time makes for PROTAN to look sooo much better.

TIPS: ALWYAS TAN ALOT BEFORE APPLYING PRO TAN. DO NOT EXPECT PROTAN TO COLOR YOU ENOUGH...IT NEEDS A DARK BASE TO LOOK RIGHT.
ALWASY BUY FRESH PROTAN. OLD PROTAN WILL TURN YOU GREEN.
DREAM TAN SPRAY ACTUALLY HAS A LITTLE BETTER COLOR THAN PROTAN IMO.
GO TO HOME DEPOT AND INTO THE PAINT SECTION AND BUY THESE LITTLE THINGS THAT TURN ANY LIQUID INTO AN AEROSOL. GET THEM AND POUR THE PROTAN OR DREAM TAN INTO THE GLASS JAR, SCREW IT INTO THE AEROSOL CAN AND USE THAT INSTEAD OF THE BRSH. YOU GET A BETTER TAN.

Ok , sorry for the side note.

I would do the aerosol and pro tan, Brad would hold the blow drier. His color came out great. ESP since he has the tatoos we had to be extra good at muting them so they werent so stand out.

Friday I did a photo shoot with TOM NINE. Stinks to be pasty white and fat and be around contest shape people...LOL...and then it was back to JOHN! We were there for JOHN! Two of all our friends THEA and EDGAR also came out...And Edgar helped fine tune the routine....lets just say his routine rocked...Brad= downloaded all the music and voice clips...Elena- mixed the music and did the base routine...and EDGAR made it ROCK! It was the second best routine in my opinion of the night....becuase there was this guy in the over 60 class that had not only an amazing body but he had one of the best routines I have ever seen.

At prejudging I was backstage. HE WAS NERVOUS , not that he will admit it. But he was. I tried my best to keep h im calm....then out to stage we go....

He looked amazing....#216 he was...Then the callouts began....first call...#216...WOO HOO! His conditioning was better than any of the other 24 guys in the class. However there was a meat monster there who out muscled all the guys, even though he wasn't has hard he was big and GUS ended up winning the class....

On Saturday night for the night show...JOhn comes out for his routine and I was in tears. I was so nervous and he did so good..TEARS...not itty bitty tears....ELEPHANT TEARS...I am so pathetic. ( keep reading there is more after this pic)

I was sooo proud. I think his wife was going to have a heartattack. I have never seen someone so excited!! I was just thrilled. Last time he did Masters he took 13th so this was a good leap...Next year......just wait:)( again keep reading...the post goes on after the photo)

I met some great people out there as well. None more inspiring than Ms. Gardner here...She competed in the Masters Lightweight and Over 55 Class....this was her first national show after training for FOUR years. The reason I mention this is to inspire you women out there who think its too last for you to get in shape.........
I do not know how she is...I just know she looks amazing! I keep looking at the pics and think how awesome it is that she looks this good.

I had a great time being back stage and mingling with competitors that I compete against on the national level ...it was odd not being in contest shape. I felt like a whale. I didn't realize how "small" we get when we diet down yet we look so big on stage. I felt like a BOHEMETH! ( i have no idea if thats a real word nor how to spell it) Anne Sheehan, Christine Sabo, and Karen Choat I have to thank you for the laughs and the great conversations back stage...And Anne thanks for just being YOU and for reminding me why we were friends in the first place and why you are such a great person! ( same goes for your hubby) I got to chat with Tammy Patnode too who will be doing the nationals as a LW and she LOOKS AWESOME people , shes gonna be a tough one to beat in atlanta come November....

Claire looked amazing in the MIDDLES...she has found her home! I thought she should have placed higher, but I didn't judge nor was I at prejudging so my opinion doesn't count. Michelle Ivers as usual had an amazing physique and routine. Christine Sabo had the BEST routine of the night...and Pam Franklin I thought looked amazing as well and could hav eplaced higher, but again I am not a judge. All in all everyone looked amazing and I had a great time.

Oh, I also shot with Annie Riveccio so there will be new stuff coming to my site..........hmmmmmmmm anything else......???

NOPE!
